Reading about Gen. David Petraeus fainting yesterday during a Senate hearing, and blaming it on not having eaten breakfast and drinking enough water, and after he'd returned to the hearing a short time later, and telling those gathered that he'd just eaten a banana and felt much better, I have to say that bananas are a definite "must have" on a daily basis when one gets older, or is under some stress.
